Why does a backstop extend batting cage life?

In a batting cage, damage is not evenly distributed. The netting directly behind the hitter absorbs nearly every ball at full velocity, and that concentrated impact is what wears a cage out first.

A backstop or backdrop hung in that zone takes the punishment instead. It absorbs and deadens impact, reduces ball rebound back toward the hitter, and adds years to the surrounding net by spreading wear away from one high-impact panel. Backstops also help highlight the strike zone for pitchers, and install easily into existing batting cage nets.

How do net dividers work in a batting cage?

The #42 Twisted Poly Net Divider splits a single tunnel into two independent working lanes, effectively doubling practice capacity without adding a second cage. Suspended lengthwise through the center of a cage, dividers are constructed from twisted, knotted #42 twine with a roped border for structure, treated for UV protection, and hung loose so they absorb impact instead of fighting it.
